Beautiful station hall for such a small station. Unfortunately the cafe was closed. The lockers are very helpful if you're taking the train from Riga to Tallinn and have to deal with the pointlessly long gap between the trains.

We took the train from Riga to Tartu with our suitcases. Fortunately there are large baggage lockers for €1,- (cash deposit) where we dropped our suitcases for the 4h stopover.

Nice clean station with very large free lockers--you get your 1 Euro coin back. The bathroom is 0.50 Euro. The cafe was closed when we visited. If you have a few hours between trains, definitely deposit your luggage and take a walk around Valga--it is a very pleasant city for a stroll.

very pretty, large station from the former golden age of rail in the Baltic region.when we arrived in the late evening by train from Tallinn, the station was closed. when we left early the next day for Riga, the station was also closed.there is no shops near the station, you have to walk minimum 10 minutes each way to get to a super market.

Ajalooline hoone, on tänapäeval lisaks raudteejaamale ka bussijaama ootesaal. Avatud 06:00-20:00. Jaamahoones on kohvik (Fresh buffee), WC (tasuline), rändraamatukogu, võtmekapid (8 tk). Jaama ees on taksopeatus.
